We all know that starting an urgent care can be an investment. In this video, Patrice talks about the costs associated with opening an urgent care clinic.
Hi, everyone. I'm Patrice, and today I have a few tips on estimating the cost of opening a new urgent care. The average urgent care cost is somewhere between $750,000 and $1 million, but you have to remember that in larger metropolitan areas such as Chicago, New York City, and much of California, that cost might rise to over $1 million, sometimes $1.5 million. Now, all hope is not lost. Funding can be accomplished most commonly by SBA loans. That's the Small Business Administration.
There's also the option for lines of credit or what they call physician practice loans, to start up through most of your common commercial banks. The thing you have to remember is that most first-time owner operators have less success with getting investor funding. You need to have a trial record or some type of financing behind you before most investors will want to back you up. So, I hope that helps give you some idea of the cost involved in where the funding comes from when you're opening a new urgent care clinic. Next time, I'll have some tips on applying for the SBA loan. So, we'll see you then.
