Ask any hockey player—goals matter. On the ice or in the RCM arena, Executive Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management, Monte Sandler, is committed to goals. Not just setting them, but reaching them through dynamic execution.
Born in St. Louis, Monte’s education says accountant, but his experience says entrepreneur. After graduating from Indiana University, he started his career as a CPA, but his enterprising spirit led him to the healthcare industry in 1996. Along with his business partners, Monte built a national revenue cycle outsourcing company that was sold to a large, publicly traded HCIT company in 2008. Through organic growth and acquisition, Monte and his team led the RCM Division to significant growth over the next eight years. Their vision (plus a lot of hard work) led them to scoring a big goal—First in KLAS recognition for RCM outsourcing.
Monte put his knowledge of numbers to work at one of the largest ambulatory HCIT companies in the country. There he built the team and processes that grew the RCM revenue by 5X and gained third party recognition for client trust and overall satisfaction. Monte’s ultimate goal as EVP of RCM is to help the company grow by building trusting partnerships that begin with customer service and satisfaction—which much like hockey goals, require a team effort.
An athlete to the core, Monte not only plays hockey but enjoys skiing and golf. What’s better, he and his wife Julie enjoy coaching three equally enthusiastic sons, each with his own sporting interests. Not surprisingly, Monte is a fan of the Blues, the Cardinals, and keeping all the bases covered.
