Director of Product, Amy Clausen first became interested in working at DocuTAP because she heard that it is constantly changing. And so far, she hasn’t been disappointed.
Amy is inspired by change, and the opportunities it provides to develop new technology products that make a difference to patients and providers—and then introduce them into the market. As customer demands change, we find ways to meet those demands, she said. “I get to see the visions of our project managers, and work with them to figure out what we can do next.” One of the things she loves most about this work is the ability to empower her team to solve problems and develop their own leadership skills.
After completing her bachelor’s degree in business and finance from the University of Sioux Falls, Amy earned her master’s from the University of North Dakota. She started her career in banking, but soon became a business analyst for a leading financial services technology company. When she was ready for a change, she made her way to DocuTAP and now leads the product team. She is committed to being part of a future where healthcare clinics don’t need clipboards.
One thing that doesn’t change is her commitment to working out. A self-proclaimed gym rat, Amy takes classes in the DocuTAP gym three to four times a week, and rows on other days. She also loves to read a good, unpredictable mystery. Amy lives in Sioux Falls with her husband and her spoiled King Charles Cavalier Spaniel.
